The TRB 87th Annual Meeting, an information-packed program, attracted approximately 10,000 transportation professionals from around the world to Washington, D.C., January 13–17, 2008.

The TRB Annual Meeting program covered all transportation modes, with more than 3,000 presentations in nearly 600 sessions addressing topics of interest to all attendees—policy makers, administrators, practitioners, researchers, and representatives of government, industry, and academic institutions. The spotlight theme for 2008 was "Partnerships for Progress in Transportation."
