ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Transit Cooperative Research Program (TCRP) is an applied, contract research program that develops near-term, practical solutions to problems facing transit agencies.
HIGHLIGHTS
- The TCRP Oversight and Project Selection (TOPS) Committee met on October 27, 2011 to select the FY 2012 research program.
- TCRP solicits new problem statements for its FY 2013 program, and statements are due by June 15, 2012.
- The preliminary write-ups for the FY 2012 Transit Cooperative Research Program represent TCRP Projects for which requests for proposals (RFPs) are expected to be issued. The development and release of RFPs will occur starting in March 2012 with proposals due in May and June 2012. (******IMPORTANT NOTE: Subsequent to issuing the abovementioned Announcement and the panel solicitation below, FY 2012 TCRP funding was reduced by approximately 35% during the FY 2012 federal appropriations process. As a result, a process is underway to revise the FY 2012 research program to reflect this reduced funding. This may impact the funding allocations and/or projects may be eliminated. Information will be provided upon the conclusion of this process.****)
- TCRP also seeks nominations to serve on its new FY 2012 panels. The panel solicitation is available as both a PDF and Word document.
- TCRP reports and other products are available at APTA's Product Dissemination Website.
- FY 2011 TCRP Annual Report (PDF)
- Unfunded CRP problem statements
Information about TCRP and other TRB activities is available in the TRB E-Newsletter. The TCRP is managed by the Cooperative Research Programs of the Transportation Research Board.
