RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated digital content, such as blogs, news feeds, or podcasts.

Users of RSS content use programs called feed "aggregators" or "readers": the user "subscribes" to a feed by supplying to their aggregator a link to the feed; the aggregator can then check the user's subscribed feeds to see if any of those feeds have new content since the last time it checked, and if so, retrieve that content and present it to the user.

What does RSS do?

RSS allows you to view TRB news, recently released publications, announcements, and more delivered to your desktop, or added to your blog or website.

How do I subscribe?

Please visit the TRB's RSS Feeds page to view a list of all RSS feeds provided by the Transportation Research Board. On this page you will have the option of viewing any TRB Feed in your browser by clicking on the blue icon or adding the feed to your web-based RSS aggregator (see below).

If you wish to add the RSS Feed to a Software based application (see below) you may mouse over the icon, right-click, and copy the URL. (Choose "Copy Shortcut" for Internet Explorer, "Copy Link Location" for Firefox, or "Copy Link" for Safari.) Then in your feed aggregator, select the option that adds a new feed or channel, then paste in the URL and click OK. Click to instantly add content to your page.
