TRB is cosponsoring the 2nd International Symposium on Freeway and Tollway Operations on June 21-24, 2009, in Honolulu, Hawaii.  The conference will explore the active management of expressway facilities in terms of current programs and planning initiatives, costs and benefits, the role of traffic management centers, and a means to improve traffic operations.  The 2010 edition of the Highway Capacity Manual will also be a topic of discussion at the symposium.
